| Lead Development Representative, Inside Sales Status: Contract, Part Time (6 Months) Hours: 30 hrs/week: 8:30am â€" 8:00pm Location: Toronto, ON The Lead Development Representative, Inside Sales is responsible for generating sales leads for the Inside Sales team and providing prompt, courteous, accurate information and service to all business prospects in an outbound call centre environment. The primary function of this role is to generate new sales leads. |

| Responsibilities: |
|
| Execute outbound call campaigns to promote Primus Business Services and drive sales leads | |
| Determine prospect’s needs with a consultative and knowledgeable approach regarding Primus Canada’s products, services, and coverage areas, etc. | |
| Provide accurate product information to prospects in a timely and efficient manner | |
| Generate sales leads for Inside and Direct Sales when appropriate based on prospect requirements, passing on immediately to the Sales team | |
| Complete approximately 90 cold calls and book and confirm 3 sales leads per day | |
| Ensure all prospect contact is documented immediately (i.e. contact information updated, competitive information is captured, etc.) | |
| Ensure that all information is passed to the appropriate sales representative and proper expectations for follow-up have been set and communicated to both the prospect and the sales representative | |
| Complete all post call processing and paperwork in an accurate, timely and efficient manner | |
| Review with Sales Manager the approach used, challenges faced, assistance/development required | |
| Adjust sales scripts as required to better target the needs and interests of specific companies | |
| Other duties, as assigned | |
What We're Looking for In You: |

| Previous sales and/or cold calling experience is an asset | |
| Demonstrated strong customer service skills | |
| Previous experience in a call centre environment preferred â€" telecommunications or data experience is an asset | Superior computer skills with advanced MS Office skills |
| Good oral and written communications skills with the ability to take and interpret communication notes | |
| Strong interpersonal skills and a team player | |
| Articulate, friendly, and diplomatic with the ability to persuade and negotiate | |
| Post secondary education in a related field is an asset | |

| Exhaust all Primus resources to help you design and document the best possible Primus Business solution(s) based on the customer requirements (business, budgetary and technical). | |
| Clearly communicate the value of your solution to the prospective customer and promote the benefits of and endorse Primus Business Solutions in collaboration with the AE during; - Product demonstrations - IDC tours - Solution presentations, including detailed system layout and network design. |

| Responsible for delivering “Clean Order Package†documentation to Provisioning including; - reviewing and signing off on all orders with special attention to Data, HPBX and Enterprise customer contracts and forms - clearly communicating your technical solutions to internal provisioning teams for implementation - supplying accurate network diagrams - supplying a scope of work when required |

| Ensure appropriate setting of customer expectations with respect to product solution, Primus and Customer provisioning activities and reasonable provisioning timelines. | |
| Training: | |
| Assist the Sales Development team in facilitating training for new hires. Specifically accountable for; - Product & Services Overview - Day to Day Tools, Systems and Process training - IDC tours etc |

| Identify the need for, create and deliver supplemental product training as required | |
| Provide customer HPBX user training as required | |
| Identify skill gaps and process gaps within the organization providing constructive feedback to Management | |
| Aiding Product Development: | |
| Act as a Product Prime, contributing as a “Subject Matter Expert†for an assigned product portfolio as required. âˆ' liaise between the Product Manager and the TSS team to ensure all information/queries exchanged between Product Management and the TSS team are filtered, tracked, and documented for ongoing learning âˆ' responsible for documenting all the products questions/answers âˆ' responsible for communicating common questions/solutions and all Product Management service updates specific to the portfolio to the TSS group as a whole |

| Contribute to New Product Introduction supplying technical expertise as well as developing and delivering Product training to the National Sales Teams and other TSS. | |
| Proactively provide feedback to the Product team on product gaps as well as any relevant competitive, market and customer feedback. | |
What We're Looking for In You: |
|
| 1-3 years experience in Data services and IP commercial products. | |
| Comprehensive understanding of Data Services; Frame Relay, various types of Internet Access, Port Speeds, ATM, and other relevant applications | |
| Sales experience in telecommunications industry with a strong understanding of the sales process | Project management experience with an ability to work on numerous projects simultaneously and adhere to timelines |
| Post secondary education in a related field preferred | |
| Previous telecom sales/support experience and knowledge of Primus’ product portfolio is an asset | |
| Demonstrated ability to exercise professional judgment and act independently is required in order to ensure the best possible delivery/experience | |
| Excellent interpersonal and customer relationship skills | |
| Strong written/verbal communication skills and professional presentation skills required | |
| Proficient with Microsoft Office (MS Excel, Power Point, MS Project and Outlook) | |

Whether you are experienced in the workforce or a new university or college graduate, the program will help take your career to the next level. People entering the program typically will spend one year in an entry-level sales role with an emphasis on the initial stages of the sales process doing cold-calling and other forms of lead development. You will have the opportunity to do job-shadowing, undergo extensive sales and product training, and work closely with the sales manager and national sales trainer to develop your career. | Responsibilities: |

| Research and compile data for targeting prospects for cold calling | |
| Prepare daily call sheets, including geographical segmentation, market segmentation, and product specific campaigns | |
| Call targeted prospects to confirm decision-makers and book appointments for the Business Services Direct Sales team | |
| Complete approximately 75 cold calls and book and confirm 3 appointments per day | |
| Provide accurate detailed information to prospects regarding Primus Canada, our value proposition including products, coverage areas, success stories, etc. | |
| Ensure all customer contact is documented immediately (i.e. contact information updated, competitive information is captured, etc.) | |
| Complete all post call processing and paperwork in an accurate, timely and efficient manner | |
| Ensure that all information is passed to the appropriate sales representative and proper expectations for follow-up have been set and communicated to both the prospect and the direct sales representative | |
| Complete weekly reporting, including cold calls and contacts made, appointments booked, follow-ups completed, conversion rates, etc. | |
| Review with Sales Managers the approach used, challenges faced, assistance/development required | |
| Review weekly with Sales Managers the 15 appointments that have been booked and confirmed, including decision-makers information, any current service info gathered, specific objections, any competitive advantages in a given opportunity, etc | |
